Job summary

KineticPlc in Huyton, Merseyside, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a brand-new state-of-the-art paper converting facility. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, operate and maintain tissue converting machinery, and drive equipment reliability to hit production targets.

The role requires hands-on experience with pneumatics, hydraulics and automated systems, and a willingness to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights) on a 3-on, 3-off cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG environments, preferably tissue paper converting.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics and automated systems.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts including nights.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of operators.
• Operate equipment to meet production targets.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including tissue converting machinery and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and ensure equipment safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams and document maintenance activities for health & safety compliance.
• Assist with new equipment installations and manage contractor relationships.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance procedures.
• Perform basic production operator tasks as required.

Job Overview
