Job summary

THE COLLECTIVE NETWORK LIMITED is seeking a Shift Engineer for a modern manufacturing site. You will join an established engineering team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on site machinery to improve reliability and performance.

The role requires an electrical bias or strong mechanical background, experience in FMCG or food manufacturing, and hands-on fault-finding with PLCs and automation. A 4 on 4 off days and nights pattern awaits, with development opportunities and a

• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Shift Engineer.
• Electrical bias preferred but mechanical experience also welcome.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, automation and industrial machinery.
• Hands-on fault-finding and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site machinery.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
• Working with PLCs, inverters, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Improving equipment reliability, safety and performance.
• Working closely with production to keep operations running efficiently.

Shift Engineer

Up to £55,000 DOE

4on 4off Days and Nights

Commutable from Liverpool, Bromborough, Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port and the surrounding areas.

You'll join an established engineering team, working with modern machinery and helping drive improvements in equipment reliability, performance and downtime.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site machinery.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
• Working with PLCs, inverters, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Improving equipment reliability, safety and performance.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Shift Engineer.
• Electrical bias preferred but not essential - strong mechanical engineers with relevant electrical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, automation and industrial machinery.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to fault-finding and problem-solving.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Engineers from other industrial backgrounds, including ex-military, are also welcome.
