Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Mechanical Shift Engineer for a client direct role at a Barbican campus. The role covers M&E maintenance on a commercial site with a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern.

The candidate must be mechanically qualified (City & Guilds Level 3) with proven commercial building maintenance experience and be available immediately. A shift allowance accompanies the salary.

Qualifications

• Mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 3.
• Must provide copies of trade certificates.
• Must be immediately available.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Multi-skilled and adaptable.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of M&E maintenance.
• Lighting: small installation, fault-finding, lamping, ballast changes, control panels, power distribution.
• Emergency lighting tests.
• Air Conditioning - AHU/FCU (filters, cleaning).
• Water treatment: temperature checks, dosing not included.
• Plumbing - unblock toilets.
• BMS system monitoring (hot & cold).
• Escort and organise sub-contractors.
• Attend client meetings if required.
• Keep site log books up to date.

Mechanical Shift Engineer - Client Direct - Barbican - Temp to perm

Exciting opportunity to work at a commercial campus situated by in Whitechapel. CBW are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to cover a commercial campus. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G or NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. This is temp to perm position with an immediate start.

He or she will be required to carry out mechanical maintenance to the following;

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of M&E maintenance
• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast's, Control panel, Power distribution)
• Emergency lighting tests
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
• Escort / organise sub contractors
• Attend client meetings if required
• Ensure site log books are kept up to date

Hours of work

4 on 4 off, nights only

07:00 - 19:00, 19:00pm - 07:00am

Package

• Salary of £48,000 + £4,000 shift allowance
• Hourly rate up to £27p/h
• On call payment + attendance payment if called out

Temp to permanent contract
