Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions seeks a Mechanical Shift Engineer for a commercial campus in Whitechapel. The role covers M&E maintenance, lighting, BMS monitoring, and water treatment on a 4 on 4 off night shift. Temp-to-perm with immediate start, on-site with on-call and attendance payments.

Requirements include a City & Guilds/NCV3 level qualification and the ability to provide trade certificates. Salary £48,000 plus £4,000 shift allowance, with up to £27 per hour and additional call/out payments.

Qualifications

• Mechanical qualification required (C&G or NVQ).
• Experience in commercial building maintenance is essential.
• Copies of trade certificates must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of M&E maintenance on the campus.
• Perform lighting works, fault-finding and ballast changes.
• Conduct emergency lighting tests and AHU/FCU maintenance.
• Monitor water treatment and perform temperature checks.
• Manage plumbing tasks and assist with BMS monitoring.
• Escort and organise subcontractors; attend client meetings when required.
• Keep site log books up to date.

Mechanical Shift Engineer - Client Direct - Barbican - Temp to perm

Exciting opportunity to work at a commercial campus situated by in Whitechapel. CBW are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to cover a commercial campus. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G or NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. This is temp to perm position with an immediate start.

He or she will be required to carry out mechanical maintenance to the following:

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of M&E maintenance


• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast's, Control panel, Power distribution)


• Emergency lighting tests


• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)


• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)


• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets


• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)


• Escort / organise sub contractors


• Attend client meetings if required


• Ensure site log books are kept up to date

Hours of work

• 4 on 4 off, nights only


• 07:00 - 19:00, 19:00pm - 07:00am

Package

• Salary of £48,000 + £4,000 shift allowance


• Hourly rate up to £27p/h


• On call payment + attendance payment if called out


• Temp to permanent contract
