FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a specialist UK manufacturer of equipment with the recruitment of a Mechanical Service Engineer. This permanent role is based at the Holywell site and involves travelling to customer locations to service, maintain and repair industrial machinery.

You will bring a strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on experience, basic electrical knowledge and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering background with maintenance or service experience.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel and stay away overnight if required.
• Commitment to safety and quality in field service.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to service, maintain and repair equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and basic electrical breakdowns.
• Carry out machine examinations and provide clear condition reports.
• Complete repair, renewal and general mechanical fitting work.
• Identify faults and provide practical solutions to minimise downtime.
• Recommend opportunities to improve machinery productivity and efficiency.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal engineering teams.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

Salary

Typical annual earnings of £45,000–£60,000, depending on experience, hourly rate and overtime also available

Skills & Experience

• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Machining or fabrication experience would be advantageous.
• Confident diagnosing breakdowns in a customer‑facing environment.
• Flexible approach to working hours, travel and overnight stays.
• Full UK driving licence.
