Job summary

Metalis are seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer to join the team in Brighouse. The role involves servicing complex machine tools and CNC equipment, diagnosing faults, and minimizing downtime for customers.

You will perform preventative maintenance, install and commission new tools at client sites, relocate machinery, and produce detailed service reports. A background with drawings and CNC systems is essential, with UK travel required.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or relevant engineering qualifications.
• 3+ years' hands on experience.
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair complex industrial machine tools and CNC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Respond to machine breakdowns and minimize downtime for customers.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Install and commission new machine tools at customer facilities.
• Conduct machine tool relocations and accuracy verifications.
• Generate clear service reports detailing work performed, fault root causes, and parts used.
• Liaise with internal technical support.
• Rebuild and refurbish mechanical components including spindles, ball screws, bearings, and guideways.

Metalis are working with a well established business in Brighouse, who are looking for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join their team.

• Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Install and commission new machine tools at customer facilities
