Job summary

Westwood Recruitment seeks a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector sectors. This is not a senior role, ideal for someone with a few years’ experience or moving up from a Mechanical Project Engineer.

You will lead the delivery of mechanical works, coordinate activities from planning through to completion, liaise with contractors, clients and subcontractors, and ensure programme, budget and quality requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Project Manager role within M&E / building services.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services including HVAC, pipework and plant.
• Experience delivering commercial projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical works across commercial building services projects.
• Coordinate project activities from planning through to completion, ensuring works meet programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontractor performance, procurement and material requirements.
• Monitor project progress, costs and resources, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, snagging and handover of mechanical services.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and project requirements.

We are looking for Mechanical Project Manager to oversee projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector projects. We are not looking for a senior level Project Manager, but instead someone with either a few years experience or someone looking to make the move up from a Mechanical Project Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical works across commercial building services projects
• Coordinate project activities from planning through to completion, ensuring works meet programme, budget and quality requirements
• Liaise with key project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, clients and subcontractors
• Manage subcontractor performance, procurement and material requirements
• Monitor project progress, costs and resources, providing regular updates to stakeholders
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, snagging and handover of mechanical services
• Ensure all works are completed in line with relevant health & safety and project requirements

Experience

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Manager role within M&E / building services
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework and associated plant
• Experience managing commercial projects from start to finish
• Good understanding of project costs, programmes and delivery requirements
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
