Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver a major commercial scheme in Leeds. You will take overall responsibility for the mechanical package, coordinating with the client, consultants, main contractor and project team to ensure safe, on-time delivery to specification.

You will manage the mechanical package from procurement through to handover, lead subcontractors and site teams, and maintain strong client relationships while controlling costs and programme

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the commercial construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and M&E construction.
• Experience managing mechanical packages on medium to large commercial schemes.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors effectively.
• Strong understanding of programme, quality and commercial management.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
• Relevant mechanical/building services qualifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the mechanical package from procurement through to completion and handover.
• Lead and coordinate mechanical subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Manage programme, progress and project delivery against agreed milestones.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying issues and coordinating solutions.
• Work closely with the commercial team to manage costs, variations and financial performance.
• Attend client, consultant and subcontractor meetings.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design, quality and contractual requirements.
• Manage testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
• Maintain strong relationships with the client and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures.
