Irwin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major residential development in West London. The role is site-based and requires hands-on leadership to drive mechanical packages to commissioning and handover.

The successful candidate will manage site teams and subcontractors, assess outstanding works, and ensure safety, quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in M&E building services.
• Strong background delivering large-scale residential developments or apartments.
• Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical building services installations.
• Experience managing projects through commissioning and handover.

Responsabilités

• Take full responsibility for completing outstanding mechanical works on a major residential development.
• Assess existing installations, identify defects and implement recovery programmes.
• Manage mechanical supervisors, direct labour and specialist subcontractors.
• Oversee mechanical installations, including plant rooms, distribution systems, heating, ventilation and associated services.
• Manage project programmes, procurement, materials and resources.
• Work closely with commercial teams to monitor costs, variations and outstanding works.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality and compliance.
• Liaise with the main contractor, consultants and senior management.

Mechanical Project Manager - Residential

Irwin Recruitment is working with an established M&E contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to take responsibility for the completion of a major residential development in West London.

This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring a strong Mechanical Project Manager with extensive experience delivering mechanical packages on large-scale residential developments.

The successful candidate will take ownership of an existing project, assessing outstanding works, managing site teams and subcontractors, and driving the project through to successful commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the completion of outstanding mechanical works on a major residential development.
• Assess existing installations, identify defects and implement recovery programmes.
• Manage mechanical supervisors, direct labour and specialist subcontractors.
