Job summary

Recserv Ltd seeks an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a long-term, on-site role in Buckinghamshire. You will work with a senior PM while supervising on-site install teams to keep the project on track and within schedule.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical contractor background, strong organisational skills, and a proactive, client-facing attitude. A valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence are essential.

Mechanical Project Manager, Buckinghamshire

Our client requires an experienced Project Manager with a strong mechanical background to join a large-scale, technically complex project in Buckinghamshire.

This is a long-term opportunity with a specialist mechanical contractor delivering pipework installations on a major development. There is the potential for up to two years of continuous work for the right Project Manager.

The Role

You’ll be based on site as the resident Project Manager, working closely with a senior Project Manager who has overall responsibility for the job. Experienced supervisors look after the day-to-day install, so your focus will be on keeping everything around it moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and organising works on site
• Making sure labour, materials and resources are in the right place at the right time
• Attending project and client meetings
• Assisting with technical submittals
• Picking up the detail items and driving them through to a conclusion
• Acting as a professional, client-facing point of contact on site

About You

• Mechanical background, ideally gained with a mechanical contractor
• Engineering and/or management background
• Good understanding of mechanical installation sequencing
• Pipework experience is a bonus but not essential, as full support will be given
• Confident, organised and client facing
• Self-motivated, with the drive to get things closed out
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential, as the site is not accessible by public transport
• Based west of London or in the Home Counties, within a reasonable commute of South Buckinghamshire
• Valid CSCS card
