Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager in Cambridge, England. The role oversees a team delivering mechanical services across heating, ventilation and pipework projects, with responsibility for planning, KPI reporting, tender control, and client relationship management.

The successful candidate will manage engineers and subcontractors, coordinate site activities, and ensure safe, compliant delivery across public and private sector projects in the Southeast region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a project management role.
• Full UK driver’s license is required.
• Experience with managing tools or subcontractors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate heating plant, ventilation and pipework replacements.
• Conduct KPIs and report to senior management.
• Control tenders, quotes and pricing.
• Manage a small team of engineers and sub-contractors.

Mechanical Project Manager

Due to expansion our client is currently looking for a project manager with proven experience to support their Cambridge team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for looking after a variety of contracts within the patch, overseeing the Mechanical team who provide a mixture of installations/replacements and service/maintenance works

You will be overseeing works across a variety of mechanical services like plumbing, commercial heating, plant rooms maintenance and ventilation systems.

The company is the chosen building services provider for a variety of clients within the public sector across the Southeast providing mechanical, electrical and heating solutions.

Job Description:

• Planning and coordination of heating plant, ventilation and pipework replacements
• Conduct KPIs and report these to senior management, ensuring targets are met
• Control of tenders, quotes and pricing
• Manage a small team of engineers and sub-contractors
• Manage site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely
• Conduct site visits when required
• Strengthen existing relationships with clients
