Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support permanent water infrastructure projects. You will provide mechanical engineering expertise across the full lifecycle—from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover.

In this role, you will deliver engineering activities, review technical documentation, coordinate installations and liaise with project managers, subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical project engineering within water, utilities, construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of project delivery processes, health and safety requirements and quality standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of permanent water infrastructure projects.
