Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Night Shift Engineer for a 4 on 4 off pattern at a large commercial building near Tottenham Court Road, London. The role requires a mechanically qualified engineer with experience in building maintenance and the ability to handle varied tasks across a static site.

The successful candidate will work 20:00–08:00 with a comprehensive benefits package including pension, cycle-to-work, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Mechanically qualified level 2 (C&G, NVQ etc).
• Experience in a large commercial building environment.
• Must provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential).
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Able to work night shift (20:00–08:00) and be flexible.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Escort specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure that the contract meets KPI & SLA requirements.
• Undertake allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify and report faults with building services equipment.
• Maintain H&S standards and escalate issues as required.
• Communicate with client staff about service levels.
• Report service issues to site management for client communication.
• Be flexible regarding site attendance and tasks within competency.
• Emergency light testing.
• Monitor mechanical plant (pumps, motors, seals, bearings).
• Air Conditioning - AHUs/FCUs (filter changes, cleaning).
• Water treatment temperature checks; dosing control.
• Plumbing - unblock toilets, replace taps.

Mechanical Night Shift Engineer – 4 on 4 off - Exciting Commercial Building –Tottenham Court Road, London – £50,000 Per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in London. CBW is currently recruiting for a night shift engineer to be based at a large commercial building by Tottenham Court Road. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified mechanical engineer with a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance and be able to turn their hand to a variety of maintenance tasks. He or she will be required to carry out mechanical planned and reactive maintenance across this large static site. Working within a team of two, he or she will be required to have an understanding/hands-on experience of the below. Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Escort specialist subcontractors
• Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.
• Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
• Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
• Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
• Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.

• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)

Requirements

• Mechanically qualified level 2 (C&G, NVQ etc)
• Experience working in a large commercial building
• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
