Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider on a prestigious commercial office in Moorgate, London. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services as part of a multi-skilled team.

The role requires mechanical qualification (C&G / NVQ or equivalent) and experience with HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps and pumps.

Qualifications

• Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services including HVAC systems.
• Experience with AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and plumbing systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
• Experience in a critical environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services equipment.
• Maintenance of HVAC plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated equipment.
• Servicing and maintenance of heating, chilled water and domestic water systems.
• Fault finding and repairs on mechanical plant.
• Basic plumbing repairs including valves, pipework, taps and sanitary ware.
• Carry out basic electrical maintenance including emergency lighting checks, lamp replacements and simple fault finding.
• Monitor BMS systems and respond to plant alarms where appropriate.
• Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with KPI and SLA requirements.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take appropriate action.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site management team.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – 4 on 4 off Days – Commercial Office – Moorgate, London – Up to £50,000 per annum – No Call Out

The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G / NVQ or equivalent) with a proven background in commercial building maintenance.Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, while also supporting with basic electrical and general building services maintenance where required.

Hours of Work

• 4 on 4 off Days
• 7:00am – 7:00pm

Requirements

• Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
• Experience working within commercial building maintenance
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services including HVAC systems
• Experience with AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and plumbing systems
• Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous
• Experience working in a critical environment is desirable
• Ability to provide copies of trade qualifications
• Proven track record in commercial maintenance
• Multi-skilled approach to maintenance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A proactive and professional attitude
