MTrec Ltd Technical is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced engineering environment. The role covers mechanical and electrical tasks with a continental shift pattern.

You will inspect, service and repair plant equipment, record activities, and work to safety procedures, drawing on a background in bespoke engineering or manufacturing settings. Flexibility for continental shifts is essential.

Competenze

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering discipline
• Time-served technician
• Electrical qualifications would be an advantage but not required
• Experience in bespoke engineering/manufacturing settings is essential
• Fully flexible for continental shift pattern

Mansioni

• Proactively carry out maintenance, inspection and repair of equipment to ensure operational reliability and minimise downtime
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and scheduled maintenance activities
• Undertake routine mechanical maintenance on pumps, bearings and associated equipment, with electrical work where competent
• Maintain health and safety standards and comply with risk assessments, permits to work, isolation procedures
• Investigate failures to establish causes and prevent recurrence

Our prestigious engineering client is now looking to recruit an experienced maintenance technician to perform vital planned and reactive maintenance work within their dynamic and fast-paced engineering environment.

This role will be working a continental shift pattern and is well suited to those with a mechanical or multi-skilled engineering background.

The Job you will do:

• Proactively carry out maintenance, inspection and repair of equipment across all areas of the plant to ensure operational reliability and minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Undertake routine mechanical maintenance, including work on pumps, bearings and associated equipment, while assisting with electrical maintenance where competent and required.
• Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring full compliance with company procedures, risk assessments, permits to work, isolation and lock-off procedures, and all other relevant safety protocols.
• Actively contribute to workplace safety initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Investigate equipment failures systematically to establish the cause and identify opportunities to prevent recurrence.
• Identify and communicate root causes of equipment failures and maintenance issues to the relevant personnel.
• Complete all maintenance duties efficiently, effectively and within required timescales, while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Identify and report any defects, irregularities or non-conformances promptly.
• Accurately record all maintenance activities, inspections and repairs in accordance with company requirements.
• Refer to relevant maintenance records, engineering drawings, technical manuals and other documentation when carrying out maintenance activities.

About you:

• You must hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification within an engineering discipline or similar
• It is essential that you are a time-served technician.
• Electrical qualifications would be an advantage but are not required.
• Previous experience within bespoke engineering or manufacturing settings is essential.
• You must be fully flexible and available for the continental shift pattern
