MTrec Ltd Technical seeks a multiskilled maintenance technician for a manufacturing client in the Middlesbrough area. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

The role involves working day shifts with opportunities for quick onboarding and progression. The ideal candidate holds a time‑served engineer qualification (NVQ3) and ideally the 18th edition.

Qualificações

• Time served engineer with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th edition qualification is desirable.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Able to perform basic PLC fault finding.
• Flexible to work weekends if needed.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and production disruption.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used.
• Follow health and safety regulations and always ensure a safe working environment.
• Install, test, and commission new equipment or system upgrades.
• Work with tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to complete tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments, contractors, or engineers to resolve complex issues.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.

The business is in the Middlesborough area and will be looking to appoint their chosen applicant ASAP.

• Flexible to work over the weekend if needed.
