Job summary

MTrec Limited is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our energetic maintenance team on a permanent basis. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, cover for a rotating days/nights shift, and a focus on continuous improvement within a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

You will repair and maintain plant equipment, work to PM schedules, and participate in safety and lean initiatives to drive reliability and efficiency across the facility.

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
• Experience with electrical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics or mechanics.
• Fabrication and modification of equipment is beneficial.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
• Participates in plant health & safety programs.
• Work to PPM schedules and record results.
• Exposure to 6 Sigma and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment including drilling machines, presses, furnaces, shot blast machines, powder paint plant and CNC machines.
• Provide rapid response to breakdowns on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair or replace control devices such as motors, contactors, sensors and related gear.

Our client are specialists in their market sector, they have opening for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their energetic maintenance team on a permanent basis.

This role will be working a shift system rotating between days and nights.

The Job you’ll do

• You should be familiar with working in a fast moving industrial manufacturing environment and ideally you will be from an industrial background and be prepared to work shifts, with some weekend work required as and when the business conditions dictate.

About You

• Time served Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
• Shifts Monday to Friday - week one 3 x12 hours, week two 4 x 12 hours, week three 3 x 12 hours.
• Previous experience with electrical maintenance and or hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics.
• Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment (beneficial).
• Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
• Participates in plant health & safety and environmental programs.
• Work to PPM schedules and record results.
• Fabrication Skills.
• Exposure to Manufacturing Environment.
• Exposure to 6 Sigma and Lean Techniques.
