Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to service specialist aviation ground support equipment on a Monday–Friday day shift. The role focuses on strip-downs, rebuilds and root-cause analysis to ensure high accuracy and reliability.

You will read engineering drawings, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement in a safety-critical environment. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance preferred.
• Strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Full UK driving licence and able to pass airport vetting (5-year referenced history).

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on aircraft ground support equipment
• Stripping, inspecting, refurbishing and rebuilding mechanical assemblies including jacks and lifting equipment
• Reverse engineering components and working from engineering drawings and maintenance manuals
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and replacing bearings, seals, bushes and linkages
• Supporting hydraulic system maintenance where required
• Completing accurate service reports and customer documentation

Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Up to £40,000, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4pm, with no weekends as standard.

You’ll strip, rebuild and get to the root of mechanical faults on specialist aviation equipment where accuracy really matters. This is a role for someone who takes pride in doing the job properly and wants to build real expertise.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on aircraft ground support equipment

Experience

• A strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, ideally in engineering or aviation
• Confident mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Hydraulic maintenance experience and LOLER knowledge would be an advantage
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance preferred
• A full UK driving licence, and the ability to pass airport pass vetting (5-year referenced work or education history)
