Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to service specialist aviation ground support equipment. You will strip, rebuild and diagnose mechanical faults with precision to ensure reliability for critical operations.

This Monday–Friday role offers a 7:30am–4pm day shift, with overtime opportunities and site allowances. A strong hands-on background and ability to read engineering drawings are essential.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical maintenance background, ideally in aviation or engineering.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Full UK driving licence and ability to pass airport vetting (5-year history).
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on aircraft ground support equipment.
Strip, inspect, refurbish and rebuild mechanical assemblies including jacks and lifting gear.
Reverse engineer components using engineering drawings and manuals.
Diagnose mechanical faults and replace bearings, seals and linkages.
Support hydraulic system maintenance where required.
Complete accurate service reports and customer documentation.
