Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of mechanical maintenance technicians at our Bradford site. You will coordinate planned, preventive and reactive maintenance to keep the plant running safely and reliably, while driving continuous improvement in reliability and performance.

You will manage contractors, maintain SAP/CMMS records and collaborate with Operations, EC&I, Planning, Reliability and EHS to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Level 3 mechanical qualification or equivalent required.
• Experience leading technicians in a chemical/process/manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in CMMS/SAP and maintenance planning.
• Strong fault-finding and reliability improvement skills.
• Experience coordinating shutdowns and safe systems of work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, support and develop a team of Mechanical Maintenance Technicians, making the best use of skills and resources.
• Coordinate planned, preventive, reactive and corrective maintenance to keep the plant running safely and reliably.
• Support the planning and delivery of site shutdowns, coordinating internal teams, contractors, materials and specialist support.
• Manage mechanical contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow-up actions within SAP/CMMS.
• Work closely with Operations, EC&I, Planning, Reliability and EHS to solve problems and continuously improve safety, reliability and performance.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be an experienced mechanical maintenance professional from a chemical, process industry or manufacturing environment, with the technical knowledge and leadership skills to support and develop a successful maintenance team.

About You

• A recognised Level 3 Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Strong industrial mechanical maintenance experience across rotating/static equipment, drive systems and process plant.
• Experience leading technicians and coordinating planned, preventive and reactive maintenance, including shutdowns.
• Experience managing contractors and working with safe systems of work, isolations and permit-to-work procedures.
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and reliability improvement skills.
• Experience using a CMMS, ideally SAP.
• A calm, practical approach with the ability to prioritise and make confident technical decisions.

Desirable

• COMAH/high-hazard experience and knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX.
• HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• CompEx Ex11 Mechanical, or willingness to achieve.
• IOSH, NEBOSH and/or SMSTS qualifications.
