Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing site in Kettering. The role focuses on fault finding, breakdown response, planned maintenance and continuous improvement to maximize machine uptime and reliability.

You will work with production teams and external suppliers, supporting engineering standards across the site and contributing to a strong benefits package and development opportunities within the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Breakdown response and root cause analysis.
• Continuous improvement projects.
• Supporting machine reliability and production uptime.
• Managing spare parts and engineering stores.
• Working with external suppliers and contractors.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Promoting health, safety and engineering best practices.
