Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Kettering site. This shift-based role focuses on reactive maintenance, fault finding, and rapid, safe repairs to minimise production downtime.

You'll diagnose faults on mechanical and electrical systems and service production machinery while adhering to health and safety standards and coordinating with the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering reactive maintenance in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Proven fault-finding skills on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults quickly and perform effective repairs.
• Experience with production machinery including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns across the site.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to minimise downtime.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs to production equipment.
• Repair/replace mechanical and electrical components as required.
• Maintain records of breakdowns and work performed.
