Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Dudley to service heavy industrial presses and production machinery. You will work with an Electrician in a two-person team performing planned maintenance and breakdown repairs to keep production safe and efficient.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance and a time-served apprenticeship, with heavy industrial maintenance experience and potential advantage for press/steel processing exposure.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance.
• Time-served apprenticeship.
• Heavy industrial maintenance experience.
• Industrial press or steel processing experience advantageous.
• Slitting/decoiling machinery experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs.
• Mechanical fault-finding on heavy industrial presses and steel processing machinery.
• Maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Replacing bearings, seals, belts, gears and mechanical components.
• Dismantling, repairing and reassembling machinery.
• Welding, fabrication, bench fitting and oxy/acetylene cutting.
• Fault diagnosis on gearboxes, drives and material-handling equipment.
• Operating overhead cranes, forklifts and cherry pickers where required.
• Completing maintenance reports and following safe working practices.
