Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a days-based role in Newton-le-Willows with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000. The engineer will focus on mechanical fault finding, breakdown repairs and conducting planned and reactive maintenance on heavy manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing or processing environment.
• Mechanical fault-finding and breakdown repair skills.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Engineering qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Maintain planned and reactive maintenance across heavy manufacturing machinery.
• Fault-finding and repairing mechanical faults, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors.
• Support machinery upgrades, installations and continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and minimise downtime.
