Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd currently seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Manchester to join an established process manufacturing site. You will maintain a mix of modern and legacy plant equipment, perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault-find and contribute to continuous improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, engineering standards, and development with strong opportunities to expand technical skillsets. Salary up to £43k and a structured training programme are offered.

Qualifications

Mechanically biased maintenance background.
Level 3 Engineering qualification / apprenticeship (or equivalent).
Previous manufacturing maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability.

Responsibilities

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
Reactive breakdown maintenance.
Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting.
Pumps, valves and gearboxes.
Agitators and actuators.
Vessels and process equipment.
Basic pipe fitting.
Experience identifying and resolving mechanical blockages.
Continuous Improvement.
Strong Health & Safety awareness.
