Job summary

Pioneer-Selection-Ltd in Leyland is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and optimise production machinery on a fast-paced FMCG site.

You will carry out mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to minimise downtime and keep the line safe and efficient, working as part of a supportive engineering team with training and career progression. This permanent role offers stability and a clear path to advancement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering bias is essential.
• Must hold a Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Experience in fast-paced industrial environments with production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and fault-finding on production machinery.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to minimise downtime.
• Assist in improving machine reliability, availability and performance across the site.
• Work safely and in compliance with health and safety procedures.
