Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a Leyland-based, dayshift role within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. You will maintain and repair production machinery, perform PPMs, and troubleshoot faults to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering bias with hands-on experience in industrial settings, and holds Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering. UK-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance and fault-finding capabilities essential.
• Experience carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and fault-finding on production machinery.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Ensure reliability, availability and performance of production equipment.
• Minimise downtime and maintain safe, efficient operation.
