Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Yeadon, Leeds. The role covers fault-finding, breakdown response, preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of industrial machinery in a busy manufacturing facility.

You will perform repairs, installation and commissioning, and support continuous improvement to minimise downtime and drive long‑term performance.

Salary - £40,000

Shift - Days - 38 hours per week

Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

You will be responsible for mechanical fault-finding, breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across a range of industrial manufacturing machinery and equipment. • Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical engineering qualification or time-served engineering background.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
