Job summary

Invictus Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a large commercial site in Swindon. You will perform fault-finding, routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services, and support a multi-skilled team to keep the facility running smoothly.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years in building services, and the ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS check. A competitive salary and a Monday–Friday shift pattern with on-call duties are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ building services experience.
• Proven experience in a commercial or similar building environment.
• Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the property.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Complete fault-finding and remedial repairs on mechanical building services.
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance.
• Work alongside other engineering and building services teams as part of a multi-skilled maintenance operation.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site documentation.

Location: Swindon SN3

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Shifts: 07:00-15:30 / 10:30-19:00 Split Shift, Monday to Friday (+ on-call)

About the Role

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading building maintenance provider at a large mulit-use commercial building in Swindon.

You’ll be part of a skilled engineering team, delivering fault-finding, repairs and planned and reactive maintenance across a large commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
