PRS in Croydon is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to service and maintain FCUs and building services on a modern commercial office site. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, strong HVAC knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team within a busy facilities environment.

Qualifications

• A recognised City & Guilds mechanical qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services.
• Hands-on experience with FCUs and associated components.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A professional approach with a strong focus on health, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a modern commercial office environment
• Service, maintain and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated equipment
• Diagnose and repair faults involving valves, actuators, motors and other mechanical components
• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues and minimise equipment downtime
• Ensure mechanical and HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation
• Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and facilities team
• Participate in the site call-out rota when required

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Croydon

Salary: £44,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team at a modern, high-spec commercial office site in Croydon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical and HVAC experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and keeping building services operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a modern commercial office environment
• Service, maintain and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated equipment
