Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the established team in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire. The role offers a substantial salary and a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern.

Key duties include carrying out PPM work orders, diagnosing machine faults and restoring equipment to service, plus identifying spare parts and installing new equipment as required. NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is essential, with apprentice training

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically qualified with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ideally apprentice trained.
• Experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, preferably heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work orders by the Planned Preventative Maintenance system.
• Undertake diagnostic checks in machinery breakdowns.
• Complete timely and appropriate remedial work to return the plant to service.
• Identify spare part requirements.
• Diagnose breakdown problems.
• Install and commission new or relocated equipment within the site.

Salary- £57,000

Shifts- 4 on 4 off days and nights

Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will include:

• Carry out work orders by the Planned Preventative Maintenance system
• Undertake diagnostic checks in machinery breakdown
• Complete timely and appropriate remedial work to return the plant to service.
• Identify any spare part requirements
• Diagnosing breakdown problems
• Install and commission to recognised standards any new or relocated equipment within the site.

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Engineers who possess the following:

• Mechanically qualified with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Ideally apprentice trained
• Have experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment- ideally heavy industry
• Experience with PPM's and breakdowns
• A sound working knowledge of modern pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
