Job summary

INDSW is seeking a maintenance engineer in Hinckley, Leicestershire, offering £52,000 on a double days shift (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm). The role involves reactive and planned maintenance on CNC drilling machines, bandsaws, presses, shrink wrappers and conveyors with a 60:40/70:30 mechanical/electrical bias.

Experience with Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs is essential, along with a Level 3 maintenance qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/D).

Qualifications

• Must be multi-skilled with a mechanical or electrical bias (roughly 60:40/70:30).
• CNC experience highly beneficial.
• Able to fault-find and read electrical and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance on CNC drilling machines, automated bandsaws, presses, shrink wrappers, and conveyors.
• Maintain and optimise Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley control systems.

We are looking for a multi skilled maintenance engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias to join our family run business based in Hinckley. We are a well-established business in the local area manufacturing high end consumer products.
We have made £3m worth of investments in brand new machinery including a brand new revamp to our workshop area. We are a small team of 3 engineers, with lots of long standing employees amongst the maintenance team.
Day to day responsibilities would be reactive and planned maintenance on CNC Drilling machines, Automated Bandsaws, Presses, Shrink Wrappers, and Conveyors. Our process is a mix of manual and automated processes running mainly on Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley control systems.

The Successful Engineer

• Multi Skilled is essential for this role, must be roughly 60:40/70:30 Mechanical or Electrical bias
• CNC experience highly beneficial
• Ability to fault find and read both electrical and mechanical schematics is essential
• Level 3 qualification in maintenance as a minimum (NVQ, City and Guilds, HNC/D)
