Job summary

Phoenix Resourcing Services is seeking a Mechanical & Plumbing Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role based in Harrogate. The position offers a basic salary of around £40,000 and a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday.

The role covers building maintenance including plant room work, plumbing, HVAC, and compliance on a large estate. Requirements include a qualified Mechanical Engineer or commercial plumber, experience with plant rooms and AHU/FCU systems, and a valid driving license.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or Commercial grade plumber.
• Experience with plant rooms, AHU/FCU systems, pumps and valves.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Excellent client-facing skills.
• Valid driving license.
• Willingness to complete fabric and plumbing tasks.
• Willing and able to pass a security check.

Responsibilities

• Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant room equipment.
• Maintain pumps, valves and plumbing systems.
• Oversee basic AHU/fan coil upkeep and checks.
• Ensure compliance tasks such as water temperatures.
• Complete small works installations and emergency repairs.
• Handle all ad-hoc maintenance tasks.

Mechanical & Plumbing Maintenance Engineer Duties

• Completing PPM and reactive maintenance to:
• Mechanical Plant room
• Pumps and valves
• Plumbing maintenance
• Basic AHU/fan coil upkeep
• Checks and compliance duties including water/tap temps etc.
• Small works installation
• Emergency repairs
• All ad- hoc maintenance tasks

Requirements

• A qualified Mechanical Engineer or Commercial grade plumber
