2 Sisters Food Group in West Bromwich is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to work with the Engineering Team on daily electrical and mechanical maintenance of production equipment.

The role operates on Monday to Friday, 2pm-11pm, at UK Poultry Amber site in West Bromwich. The salary is £55,000 with an excellent benefits package, training opportunities and overtime available.

Qualifications

• Qualifications at NVQ/HNC or City & Guilds Level in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Maintenance.
• Apprenticeship scheme in electrical engineering considered.
• Experience in FMCG or fast-paced environments preferred.
• 18th Edition Electrical Certificate advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Daily electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
• Ensure work complies with Health and Safety Regulations and Safe Systems of Work.
• Cover afternoon shifts and maintain electrical maintenance across the site.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be working closely with the Engineering Team and carry out daily electrical maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out in line with appropriate Health & Safety instructions and site policies.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be required to carry out daily electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery and production equipment
• Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations using Safe Systems of Work
• Working within a fast-paced environment, covering afternoon shifts as well as covering all the electrical engineering maintenance

About You

You will have qualifications either at NVQ / HNC or City & Guilds Level in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Maintenance. Alternatively, we will also consider applicants who have completed their apprenticeships scheme in electrical engineering.

Key Skills

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical discipline
• Fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
• Experience in FMCG or fast-paced environments (food manufacturing preferred but not essential)
• 18th Edition Electrical Certificate is advantageous

This is a permanent role based at our site UK Poultry - Amber site in West Bromwich, Monday to Friday 2pm - 11pm.
