Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a large commercial estate in London. You will maintain HVAC plant, pumps, FCUs, and monitor building services via the BMS. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, overtime opportunities, and clear career progression within a stable FM environment.

Applicants should hold City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2-3 and have proven experience in commercial property maintenance; excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or plumbing qualifications are required.
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 certification is essential.
• Experience in commercial or property maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain HVAC plant and associated mechanical systems.
• Carry out plant room checks and maintenance.
• Maintain AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning.
• Maintain pumps, motors and pressurisation units.
• Carry out basic chiller checks and resets.
• Carry out plumbing repairs, including taps, seals and blocked toilets.
• Complete water temperature checks and basic water hygiene duties.
• Monitor building services through the BMS.
• Monitor UPS systems and take readings.
• Assist with emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Carry out general M&E and building fabric maintenance.
• Identify and report faults with building services equipment.
• Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure maintenance records and compliance documentation are kept up to date.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Liverpool Street, London – Up to £50,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider at a large commercial office estate in Liverpool Street, Central London.

The successful candidate will work as part of an established engineering team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the landlord services.This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified engineer looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday position, strong overtime opportunities and genuine career progression.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements

• Mechanically / Plumbing qualified
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3
• Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
• Proven experience within commercial or property maintenance
• Good knowledge of mechanical building services
