Are you an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer within the facilities sector? Looking for a new challenge in 2025? Our client, an established FM company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a site near Swindon. This permanent role offers progression and training opportunities, working Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm. Benefits include:

Main Duties

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete reports.
• Perform reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, completing associated paperwork.
• Participate in a call-out rota for out-of-hours cover.
• Oversee visiting subcontractors regarding work standards and health & safety.
• Assist with other properties within the portfolio as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Complete work documentation accurately and timely.
• Perform work safely and diligently, complying with health and safety policies.
• Daily maintenance tasks include UPS systems, plumbing, drainage, boiler checks, cooling towers, fan coil units, AHUs, fans, and heating pumps.

Candidate Requirements

• City and Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in a commercial environment.
• Desirable: experience in a hospital or R&D environment.
• Good building services knowledge.
• Teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
