Job summary

Equans is seeking a Technical Manager (Mechanical) to join our Manchester team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, a bonus and benefits package.

The role holder will lead lifecycle management activities at Manchester Joint Hospitals, providing a technical service to project managers, customers and contractors to enable first-class service delivery.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within a PFI environment.
• Understanding of quality assurance requirements, methods and processes.
• Strong awareness of DoH regulatory issues and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Generate immediate, intermediate and long term plans for lifecycle works on site and justify lifecycle spend.
• Assist with Draw Down Requests and ensure contractual routes are followed.
• Audit maintenance activity, asset replacement and PPM plans for compliance and cost control.
• Keep up to date with facilities and property management developments and guide staff/consultants.
• Develop and manage lifecycle benchmarking with budgets, planning status and contract compliance.
