Job summary

Equans is recruiting a Technical Manager (Mechanical) in Manchester to lead lifecycle planning and management across the Oxford Road Complex. You will serve internal PMs, customers, partners and contractors to ensure top-quality service delivery and compliant operations.

The role requires deep knowledge of mechanical systems, regulatory requirements and commercial awareness, with a focus on risk management and budgetary control within a PFI environment.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of relevant processes and procedures for the role.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance requirements and related techniques.
• Commercial and financial awareness with budget control experience.

Responsibilities

• Generate immediate, intermediate and long term lifecycle plans on site.
• Assist with Draw Down Requests and ensure contractual processes are followed.
• Audit maintenance, asset replacement and PPM data to ensure compliance.
• Provide lifecycle benchmarking and budgeting insights for contract spend.
• Monitor annual and five-year budgets and report on progress.
