Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
- 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
- Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
- Lead by example, communicate company-specific Health & Safety policies, and incorporate safety into all discussions
- Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
- Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
- Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
- Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
- Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction program
- Provide stakeholders with sufficient information for system installation to ensure progress aligns with the master schedule
- Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete electrical activities efficiently
- Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and optimize sequencing for Mechanical and CSA work
- Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
- Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
- Manage subcontractor activities, track progress, and assess manpower levels
- Review and ensure production of necessary documents such as construction and commissioning programs, work trackers, risk assessments, and handover packs by system stakeholders
