Job summary

Mechanical Inspection Engineer role in West Yorkshire with a market-leading, multi-billion-pound manufacturing group. You will manage all inspections for pressure systems, comply with COMAH, and drive asset integrity across on-site operations.

The role offers progression within a global chemical manufacturer, with a strong benefits package including pension up to 10%, annual bonus, health care and 28 days leave. Monday–Friday, site-based with on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of industry code inspection standards and procedures (API 510/570/653).
Experience with Non-Destructive Testing methods and CMMS systems.
Graduate candidates welcome with relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Forecasting and scheduling inspections for pipework and bulk storage systems.
Prioritising and overseeing the worklists for Mechanical Inspection Engineers (3rd Party UKAS accredited).
Coordinating with Engineering Planners for shutdown-specific inspections and remedial actions.
Updating and monitoring the Asset Integrity Lifecycle spreadsheet, including corrosion data.
Keeping inspection frequencies aligned with Written Schemes of Examination and CMMS (Oracle).
Reviewing and accepting all inspection reports.
Ensuring timely completion of investigations and actions related to UIR.
