Job summary

PDQ Engineering Recruitment & Training Services Lt is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector near Abingdon on straight days, 37 hours per week. You will inspect, confirm and authorise incoming materials and returns from outsources, and approve in-process production with first-off measurements.

Qualifications

• Ideally you will have a mechanical engineering background, working within manufacturing environment.
• You will be able to interpret engineering drawings and support production improvement initiatives. Have experience using a wide range of measurement equipment and programmable CMM
• You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection. The candidate will be fully familiar with, and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
• The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, have the necessary 'people skills' to develop and improve the quality culture of the business and flexibility to support other departments. Have a 'Continuous improvement' focus
