Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd. at RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) is seeking an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter on a 7 on/7 off shift pattern to support MFTS operations.

You will assist Certifying Engineers, ensure regulatory compliance, and perform aircraft maintenance across airframe, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems. Job Description: Aircraft Mechanical Fitter 7 on 7 off Shift Shawbury Shift Pattern – MFTS Base 7 on - 7 off

Wednesday – Tuesday, 0730 – 1930 with 30min unpaid break. Wednesday – Tuesday, off 160 hours worked over 28 days.

The Opportunity

Aircraft Mechanical Fitter at RAF Shawbury, Shropshire. Reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, to support the MFTS operation.

• Assisting Certifying Engineers with the delivery of serviceable aircraft to meet the requirements of the daily flying programme.
• Ensuring compliance with Aviation regulations and Company procedures.
• Accomplishment of Maintenance activities as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
• Complete maintenance to a high standard to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
• Assisting with aircraft maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical systems and electrical systems under the supervision of Certifying Engineers.
• Assist in day to day running of the Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

• Fitter‑to‑LAE Pathway: Aircraft Avionics Technicians who are studying towards their UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence who have completed at least 6 modules and have more than 3 years’ experience documented in their experience logbooks are also encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be enrolled onto the AHUK Fitter to LAE Development scheme.

• This position is subject to National Security Vetting. Candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance, which generally requires having lived in the UK for the last five years.
