Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd at RAF Shawbury seeks a UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support the MFTS operation. The role reports to the Line Maintenance Manager and focuses on delivering serviceable aircraft to meet the daily flying programme.

Responsibilities include assuring compliance with aviation regulations, completing maintenance on electrical/avionics systems, and supervising fitters in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the MFTS operation reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager.
• Deliver serviceable aircraft to meet daily flying programme requirements.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and Company procedures.
• Complete maintenance to a high standard for safe operation of aircraft.
• Carry out maintenance including electrical and avionics systems.
• Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
• Assist in hangar day-to-day operations and aircraft movement.

Early shift: Monday - Friday, 0700 – 1530 with 30min unpaid break

Late Shift: Monday - Friday, 1200 – 2030 with 30min unpaid break

The Opportunity

• UK CAA B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer at RAF Shawbury, Shropshire.
• Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, to support the MFTS operation.
• Responsible for the delivery of serviceable aircraft to meet the requirements of the daily flying programme.
• Ensuring compliance with Aviation regulations and Company procedures.
• Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
• Complete maintenance to a high standard to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
• Completion of maintenance, including electrical systems and avionics systems.
• Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work.
• Assist in day to day running of the Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills

• Working knowledge of UK CAA regulations including, but not limited to Part 145, Part CAMO and UK ANO
• Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionics systems
• Experience in an Aviation engineering environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Self-motivated and ability to work under own initiative
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Flexible to the requirements of the company and needs of the customer
• Operational resilience and collaborative problem-solving

Fitter-to-LAE Pathway

Aircraft Avionics Technicians who are studying towards their UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence who have completed at least 6 modules and have more than 3 years’ experience documented in their experience logbooks are also encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will be enrolled onto the AHUK Fitter to LAE Development scheme.

Additional requirements

• This position is subject to National Security Vetting. Candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance, which generally requires having lived in the UK for the last five years. All successful applicants will also undergo a mandatory BPSS check.
