Job summary

First Bus is seeking a proactive Mechanical Fitter to join the Engineering team at Sheffield (Olive Grove). You will perform diagnostics, servicing and repairs on coaches, following our SOPs and health and safety policies.

We provide PPE, training and a clear career path. The role operates a 4 days on, 4 days off pattern with a pay rate of £21.61 per hour, plus benefits including pension, travel and health schemes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds).
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• PCV licence desirable or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing and repairs including MOT preps per SOPs.
• Comply with HS&E legislation and Group Policies.
• Comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain and develop technical skills as required.

About the role - Mechanical Fitter

Responsibilities include:

• Vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing and repairs including MOT preps in accordance with FirstBus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures
• To fully comply with all HS&E legislation along with Group Policies
• To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain and develop technical skills as required

Location: Sheffield - Olive Grove

Working Hours: 4 days on 4 days off

Pay: £21.61 per hour

About you

• Do you have aminimumLevel 3 NVQ standard of equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1&2) qualification?
• Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
• Must have a full UK driving license
• A PCV licence is desirable or show a willingness to obtain PCV licence is essential as we will help you obtain your PCV
• Experience of working with coaches would be advantageous, but not a necessity
