Job summary

Auxo Talent is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Assembly Technician for our client, a leading manufacturer of rotating equipment. The role involves assembling and disassembling units from engineering drawings in a workshop setting, with components ranging from micro to large multi-part fabrications.

The ideal candidate will have strong manual dexterity, the ability to interpret drawings, operate measuring equipment to tight tolerances, and perform strip inspections with root cause

Responsibilities

• Use measuring equipment to ensure parts meet high tolerances and safety standards.
• Operate air-powered and electric tools in a safe manner.

Job description

A leading manufacturer of rotating equipment is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Technician to join their workshop team on a double-day shift pattern.

Their innovative machinery is used across a wide variety of industries including oil & gas, renewables, nuclear, chemicals, refrigeration, and defence.

This role will involve the assembly and disassembly of units from engineering drawings using various components and sub-assemblies, so an ability to interpret drawings and specifications as well as excellent manual dexterity are all key.

Components range in size and complexity from micro components up to large multi-part fabrications. You will also be required to produce reports including strip inspection and conduct root cause analysis when required.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working to high tolerances, strong problem solving skills, the ability to use a range of measuring equipment and safety operate air powered and electric tools.
