Job summary

Fusion People is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to work on trailer chassis in an engineering/manufacturing environment in Stoke On Trent (Longton). This temporary-to-perm position operates a day shift, 7:30am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am-12:30pm Friday.

Rate is DO E with work subject to a D&A test. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Mechanical Fitter, be capable of reading engineering drawings, and show strong fitting and assembly skills using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience working on trailer chassis or heavy vehicles.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Good mechanical fitting and assembly skills.

Mechanical Fitter – Trailer Chassis

Location: Stoke On Trent ( Longton)
Duration: Temp to perm
Day Shift:730am-5pm Mon to Thurs, 730am-12.30pm Fri

Rate: DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work on the chassis of trailers within an engineering/manufacturing environment.

Duties include:

• Mechanical fitting and assembly of trailer chassis
• Building and fitting components to engineering drawings
• Using hand and power tools
• Installing mechanical components, brackets, axles and associated equipment
• Checking completed work to ensure it meets required standards
• General mechanical assembly and fitting duties

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter
• Experience working on trailer chassis, heavy vehicles or similar equipment
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Good mechanical fitting and assembly skills
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
