Job summary

Fusion People is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to work on trailer chassis in an engineering/manufacturing environment in Stoke On Trent (Longton). This temporary-to-perm position operates a day shift, 7:30am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am-12:30pm Friday.

Rate is DO E with work subject to a D&A test. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Mechanical Fitter, be capable of reading engineering drawings, and show strong fitting and assembly skills using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience working on trailer chassis or heavy vehicles.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Good mechanical fitting and assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting and assembly of trailer chassis.
• Building and fitting components to engineering drawings.
• Using hand and power tools.
• Installing mechanical components and brackets.
• Checking completed work against standards.
