Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work on trailer chassis in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves mechanical fitting and assembly of chassis components, reading engineering drawings and using hand and power tools to install brackets, axles and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in trailer chassis or heavy vehicle assembly, good attention to detail, and the ability to work safely to required standards. This is a temp-to-perm role with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to assemble trailer chassis.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter with a focus on chassis assembly.
• Competent with hand and power tools and checking work against standards.

Mechanical Fitter - Trailer Chassis

Location: Stoke On Trent ( Longton)

Duration: Temp to perm

Day Shift:730am-5pm Mon to Thurs, 730am-12.30pm Fri

Rate: DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work on the chassis of trailers within an engineering/manufacturing environment.

Duties include:

• Mechanical fitting and assembly of trailer chassis
• Building and fitting components to engineering drawings
• Using hand and power tools
• Installing mechanical components, brackets, axles and associated equipment
• Checking completed work to ensure it meets required standards
• General mechanical assembly and fitting duties

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter
• Experience working on trailer chassis, heavy vehicles or similar equipment
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawingsGood mechanical fitting and assembly skills
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
