Mechanical Fitter

Location: Falmouth

Salary: Circa A£35,000 (A£18ph) + Shift Premiums + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Company Pension (5% Employee, 4% Employer) & Life Assurance (7x Salary) + Training and Development

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Early Shift, Late Shift & Night Shift)

Overview: Mechanical Fitter required for an industry leading engineering and repair company based in Falmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company who are experts in the marine industry and can offer the opportunity to develop and progress.

Responsibilities:

1. Fitting and assembling mechanical components and systems on ships
2. Working with engineering specifications and drawings
3. Carrying out repairs on vessels
4. Inspection and diagnosing of mechanical and structural issues
5. Working with vessel engines, generators, compressors, etc.
6. Requirement to work variation of shifts in line with company requirements

Candidate Requirements:

1. Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter
2. Any industrial/engineering/manufacturing background
3. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
