Job description

Job Title: HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500 !!

Join Biffa Waste at Bodmin Depot! We offer a competitive pay rate and a rotating shift pattern: 0600 – 1530 / 1030 – 2000, Monday to Friday, totaling 45 hours per week. Overtime and call-out opportunities are available.

We are committed to changing the way people think about waste. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and waste management equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.

Your duties will include performing scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections to meet Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments. Our diverse fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44t articulated vehicles, providing ample learning and development opportunities.

We welcome applications from those with previous experience as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, or HGV Technician. Skilled or semi-skilled technicians interested in upskilling and career growth are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified with a Level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification.
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence.
